Responsibilities:

on lens type, frames and styling;

taking frame and facial
measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning;

Measure clients' bridge
and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical
centers of eyes, using measuring devices.
Salary:
An Optician earns a salary
at about $33,770 annually.
Education:
High school
diploma with on-the-job training or apprenticeship; or certificate, associate's
degree or bachelor's degree in opticianry for career advancement is required to
become an optician.

Reflection:
I would not
like to become an Optician because the job doesn’t seem to get me interested. I
would like to work with the patients’ health than to just help the patient with
their eye vision. You’d also have to work with heavy machinery and that itself
makes me a bit nervous to use.
