Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Assists physical therapists of the treatment of patients.

·      Bandages, tapes, and helps an athlete when injured in a play.

·      Recognizes an athletes injury and makes sure the athlete is ready to go back into play.

Salary: $51,483

Education:

·      Bachelor’s degree

·      Licensed in athletic training

·      Therapeutic license

Reflection:

I would definitely love to become an athletic trainer. I take a sports medicine class here at HPIAM with Mr.Boylan and everything I’ve learned so far is very interesting. Having to hello an athlete and wrap injuries seem all so fun. I love learning about the anatomy and having to deal with muscle sprains, broken bones, etc. It’s a win in win situation since I love the medical field and I’d also be helping others who are in need to a speedy recovery.
