Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Chiropractors diagnose, treat and prevent mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and look at the effect of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health.

·         Their aim is to relieve pain, increase mobility and to get patients back to full health and movement.

·         The profession takes a holistic approach to the needs of patients, considering physical, psychological and social factors, and recognizes the value of working with other healthcare practitioners

Salary: $136,591

Education:

·         Doctoral Degree

·         Professional Degree

·         4 years of professional study

·         4-year undergraduate/college prerequisite

Reflection: I believe becoming a Chiropractor would be a huge challenge for me just because I am small in size and don’t have much upper body strength to support the muscles that need relief. Much of it requires be pulling, pushing, releasing from different angles that I believe I am not yet accustomed or strong enough for.
