·         Promoting oral health and disease prevention.

·         Creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of their patients.

·         Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests.

·         Ensuring the safe administration of anesthetics.

Reflection:  I’ve heard many stories over time about how being a dentist is the #1 cause of suicide. To this day I still don’t understand the reason to it but to only think of one thing. Mouths are a very disgusting part of the body. Therefore, I would not like to become a dentist. I’ve had very bad personal experiences from the office and in the chair and I would never like to go back ever again. It is the scariest and worst place to be at for any human being whether adolescent or adulthood.
