"When you tell one lie, it leads to another."-Paul Hatch
The problem within most of our personalities is that we often make up lies in order to seem much more interesting when we conversate with one another. We often only lie to either pretend to be someone better or to "protect" those we love. In the moment it may seem as if it the right thing to do but it is actually only opening a can of worms. Once a lie is told, it is followed by much more lies to cover up the previous ones. Lying not only hurts yourself but it also hurts those around you and causes people not to trust you or believe you anymore. In my experience, every lie i told had eventually caught up to me. Consequences had to be paid, and i lost allot of people along the way. A lie told is not worth saying and there shouldn't be any excuse for anyone to use in order to lie. No matter how small the lie is, once it's told it's always hard to regain back that trust from people because as they say your first impressions are the ones that usually stay with people. Lying can result in very drastic events and can harm people as well. Always speak the truth, no matter how badly the truth may be. The truth doesn't cost anything. But a lie could cost you EVERYTHING.
