Presidents Day

Washington's Birthday, also known as Presidents' Day, is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of February. The day honors presidents of the United States, including George Washington, the USA's first president. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents’ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. Celebrated on the third Monday of February. Ways to celebrate Presidents Day is by visiting the presidential Monuments, remembering history with historic educational videos, laying out an American flag outside on your porch, or even considering a moment of silence for the iconic leaders.

Although many work companies and school districts consider the Presidents Day to be a day off of work it is not officially considered a Holiday. It is still considered to be a typical workday. It is originally supposed to be a day that is only for George Washington but George Washington, William Henry Harrison, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan all have their birthdays in February all nearly the same days. So they decided to make it a day for all the Presidents.
