Duties & Responsibilities : Navy Occupational Therapists assist Sailors and their families and those in need in every demands after an illness, injury, or any other kind of impairment. They aid in restoring lost skills of daily living. And assist those who have suffered injury, illness or impairment in achieving high independent function. Partnering with first-rate health-care providers, including physicians and physical therapists, Occupational Therapists are a critical part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary:  $67,300

Education:
  • Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university; credit toward rank and time in service is given, depending on the level of degree and work experience
Demand for this profession:
  • Be a U.S. citizen currently practicing in the U.S.
  • Be willing to serve a minimum of three years of Active Duty  
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 41  
  • Be in good physical condition and pass a full medical examination

Reflection: Becoming a Navy Seal Occupational Therapist requires many duties and responsibilities as well as motivation and perseverance. Being an Occupational Therapist requires one to work on patients that have suffered from an illness, injury or any other impairment. These doctors help rehabilitate the patients every day use tools to help them take care of their needs on their own. With this, they use certain tools, exercises, therapy, and stretching exercises. Very much similar to a Sports Therapist except these injuries are far more severe. These therapists also create large tools to help patients assist them in living regularly in their own lifestyle. These recovering sessions can last up to years depending on any injury. Not only is it a very interesting job , but it also pays a large amount of salary that can also be very beneficial to any future expectations.
