Teen-Drug-Rehab.jpg

Substance abuse a common term used to describe an overuse of drugs and alcohol. Both adolescents and seniors often misuse the substances and either take too much or are unaware of the consequences of the mixture. Some adolescents use these substances to self medicate themselves, but often only result in unfortunate endings. Drug and alcohol use can lead to other chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Addressing the impact of substance use alone is estimated to cost Americans more than $600 billion each year. After a long use of these substances, you begin to become very much dependent and begin to function oddly without it. With this addiction comes very difficult ways to control, give in and even take in after a long use. You increase a higher tolerance within every take and eventually the effects affect your everyday lifestyle. The way you respond, act, and comprehend things differ within time.
