Mona_ST_31BB0B93B2C3A.gifEducation: Master's degree in speech-language pathology

Demand for this profession: Employment of speech-language pathologists is projected to grow 21 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the large baby-boom population grows older, there will be more instances of health conditions that cause speech or language impairments, such as strokes and hearing loss.

Reflection: My communication and great fluent speaking would be a very good resource and a helpful trait to provide in the field of pathology. Being a pathologist is actually the career i am aiming to pursue after high school. Being able to be involved with children mostly and other age groups would be a great environment for me to be around and also seems very exciting. My communication skills have never been a problem for as long as i can remember and my fluency in speaking is very excellent as well. I enjoy conversing with others and speaking out loud as well and being able to share my knowledge in speaking would be a great opportunity and a privilege as well.
